FORT LEE, Va. – A ceremony celebrating the return of the Army’s 54th Quartermaster Company from their deployment to Southwest Asia is scheduled here Wednesday at the Post Field House.

The unit arrived Saturday afternoon after several unexpected travel delays.  The redeployment ceremony will allow family, friends, Fort Lee and community leaders to officially recognize the unit’s efforts in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.

The 54th Quartermaster Company is one of the Army’s only two active duty mortuary affairs units, which are both based here.
