392nd Band Performance Photo

FORT LEE, Va. – The Fort Lee 392nd Army Band will be performing in local community schools during the months of March and April 2017.

The band visits area schools as part of its “Music in our Schools” program every year. Each performance offers elementary through high school students an interactive music education experience.

While showcasing various instruments, the band demonstrates how being a musician can be both fun and a future career option.

Last year, the band performed at 28 area schools, giving a memorable music event for more than 9,000 children.  Since 2012, the 392ndArmy Band brought the “Music in our Schools” program to more than 42,000 children in Central Virginia.

Local schools are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to experience a live performance of a military band.

Schools interested in participating in the “Music in our Schools Program” may submit a performance request form to the Fort Lee Public Affairs Office. The deadline for submitting requests is Feb. 14.
