FORT LEE, Va. – Nearly 200 Soldiers from two Army units here are readying tactical vehicles and equipment today for deployment in support Hurricane Florence relief efforts.
The 54th Quartermaster Company and 111th Quartermaster Company are standing by for official orders to deploy to areas impacted by the storm, where they will provide high-water recovery operations and other support.
The Fort Lee-based units are the only two active duty mortuary affairs companies in the Army.
