FORT LEE, Va. – Media are invited to cover the change of command ceremony in which Brig. Gen. Mark T. Simerly will become the new commanding general of the Combined Arms Support Command during a ceremony July 9 at the Lee Playhouse theater on Fort Lee.
Due to the lingering effects of Tropical Storm Elsa, the ceremony has been moved indoors.
WHAT: CASCOM Change of Command
WHEN: 10 a.m., Friday, July 9
WHERE: Lee Playhouse theater, Fort Lee
Simerly will replace Maj. Gen. Rodney D. Fogg, who will serve as deputy chief of staff for logistics and operations at U.S. Army Materiel Command Redstone Arsenal, Ala. Simerly also is to be promoted to major general prior to the ceremony.

Please confirm attendance of the event before 5 p.m. Thursday, July 8. On the morning of the event, media will be met at the welcome center parking lot outside the Lee Avenue Gate at 8 a.m. for an escort onto post.
